A total of 459 racers taking part in Labuan Duathlon Challenge 2016

LABUAN – Some 459 participants had taken part in in the Labuan Duathlon Challenge 2016 this morning at Labuan International Sea Sport Complex (LISSC).

Among the participating countries are Malaysia (353), Brunei (94), Philippines (3), South Africa (1), United Kingdom (1), Indonesia (2), Trinidad and Tobago (1), Netherlands (1), Scotland (1), New Zealand (1) and Sweden (1).

The participants are required to run for 5km before continuing the race by pedalling on their bikes for 35km around the checkpoints in this island and finishing the rest 5km run to end the race.

Present to flag-off the racers were Senator Datuk Yunus Kurus, the chairman of Labuan Corporation Advisory Council, Datuk Bashir Alias, the members of Labuan Corporation Advisory Council, Datuk Peter Mak and Khalid A. Ghani, and the deputy chief executive officer (development) of Labuan Corporation, Mohd. Zamri Mohd. Esa.
