Malaysia, the largest participants dominating in Labuan Duathlon Challenge 2016

LABUAN – Despite minor argument to decide the winner in a category during Labuan Duathlon Challenge 2016 on Sunday, the matter was resolved with the help of CCTV record and the juries’ final decision.

There were five categories in the challenge namely, men’s open, women’s open, men’s junior veteran, veteran and relay team where Malaysia, the largest number of participants dominated the places in first, second and third in each category.

In men’s open, the champion and first runner up place captured by Malaysian participants – Mohd Zuhar Ismail and Mohd Amran Abdul Ghani, while in third won by participant from Brunei, Muhammad Nor Risman Ismail.

For women’s open, the first, second and third were grabbed by Malaysian participants respectively by Kona Liau, Stephanie Chok and Amelia Monica Uhen.

The third category in men’s junior veteran, the three top places dominated by Malaysians namely, Guianius Salagan, Muhammad Hafiz Wong B. Abdullah and Yatim Zainal.

In veteran category, Muhammad Razani Hussein was the champion, while in second and place went to Leong Bee Vun and Wong Siew Ming each where all of them were from Malaysia.

While, in relay team, the three Malaysian teams bagged places in first, second and third with Fabian Osmon/Nicholas Minol as the champion, whilst, Johnie Ngongoloy/Wincentbert in second and Mohamad Allie Helmy Bin Sabtu/Mohd Nazri Bin Ahmad in third.
