Lions Club of Labuan Mandarin tour to schools for the health talk

LABUAN – Lions Club of Labuan Mandarin had toured to three schools here at SM St. Anne, SM Sains Labuan and Labuan International School for their youth outreach programme.

The president of the club, Jessica Lee told to the media that the tour was meant to create awareness among the students about health talk.

“We did reach more than 200 students in this programme where we hope to improve and educate them in a different way to understand the quality of our lives physically, socially and emotionally,” she said.

The club committee members went to SM St. Anne and SM Sains Labuan on September 1 where on the next day, they went to Labuan International School for the programme.

Joining the club for the programme were the youth ambassador of National Kidney Foundation, Shawn Lee and Mr. Malaysia for 2016 and 2017, Anthony Tan.

Both Shawn and Anthony gave their health talks in the three schools where the former who was the world champion number four in Beatbox 2012 entertained the students with his beatbox talent, while the latter shown his skill in hip hop dance in the end of their every health talk.

Shawn gave his talk on caring for the kidney, whilst Anthony shared his healthy lifestyle to the students.
