Tamu Gadang: Cat competition attract over 200 audience in UMSKAL

LABUAN – Mohd. Farid Aizat Mohd. Fadilah’s cat named Shantane won in the first place for exotic category in KAL-Cutey Cats Competition held recently at Universiti Malaysia Sabah, Labuan International Campus (UMSKAL) in conjunction with the Tamu Gadang event.

In second and third place were captured by Mohd Raffey Rosman with his cat, Indira and Shirley Affendi with her cat named Louisa.

For local category, the champion was Nur Alisa Mustafa (cat name: Montel). While, the first runner-up and second runner-up were respectively went to Siti Ramijan Dahalan (cat name: Oscar) and Samri Sarin (cat name: Owen).

All the winners in first, second and third places in both categories received cash prizes worth RM350, RM200 and RM100 each.

Meanwhile, the title of the most popular cat went to Shirley Affendi.

The juries of the competition were from Labuan Veterinary Department represented by Dr. Mary Sia James and her colleagues.

The programme coordinator, Noorezaty Nicholas told that there were over 200 people from Labuan, Sabah and Brunei took the opportunity to caress the participating cats in the competition.

The senior assistant registar of Labuan International Finance Faculty, Norhanizah Adnan gave away the prizes to the winners.
