LABUAN – Ferry operators here were urged to look into the way they arranged the vehicles loading into their roll on/roll off (roro) ferry to give convenient to the passengers to walk between the space of the vehicles.
A passenger who was travelling from Labuan to Menumbok today lamented that the vehicles arranged in the ferry were not systematic.
“I cannot go out from my vehicle from the door of a driver instead of using another door due to the very narrow space between mine and the vehicle beside my car.
“I found out the ferry is not fully loaded with vehicles today and the space is still large at the back area of the ferry. I am facing difficulty to get out from my vehicle to go to the toilet.
“The narrow space is also giving difficulty for pregnant women to walk should they intend to go to the toilet,” he said who was feeling frustrated with the situation.
He questioned further that why the roro ferry from Labuan to Brunei would arrange the loaded vehicles systematically into the ferry and not if it was travelling between Labuan – Menumbok – Labuan.
He hoped that the ferry operators would create systematic way to arrange the vehicles those loaded into their ferries for the people’s convenience.
