Annapurna Base Camp climbers welcomed at Labuan Airport

FLORETA Mojikon (second right) and Akbar Khan (fourth right) welcomed by Labuan Member of Parliament, Datuk Rozman Isli (right) at Labuan Airport this evening.

Floreta and Akbar who were called by their colleagues in Labuan Corporation (LC) Arts, Culture and Tourism Department as Kelly and Apeng managed to reach the Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) on March 1 at 5.30pm on Nepal time.

They had endured some challenges to reach ABC that stands at 4,130 meters above sea level such as heavy snow and low temperature at -7 degree celsius.

Both of them were part of the expedition comprising 28 climbers from Singapore, Malaysia and Philippines to the ABC.
