Fifty-year-old teacher found unconscious in car collision at Taman Mutiara

LABUAN – A 50-year-old female teacher was found unconscious inside her vehicle (Toyota Vios) after her car collided with another 36-year-old female teacher’s vehicle (Toyota Wish) at Jalan Bebuloh, Taman Mutiara this morning.

The director of Labuan Fire and Rescue Department, Jainal@Zainal Madasin told that they received the call from the member of public to inform about the incident on 6.19 am.

“The former is a school teacher at SMK Taman Perumahan Bedaun, while the latter is a school teacher at SK Bebuloh. Both of the victims collided at a corner in the housing area where the 50-year-old teacher was heading from the town.

“There were around three individuals inside the Toyota Wish car where all of them were uninjured and safe. However, the victim in the Toyota Vios car was lying unconscious inside the car.

“The unconscious teacher was then rescued the victim and then handed over to the ambulance who was also in the scene,” he said, adding that his men arrived at the scene at 6.31 am.

Meanwhile, Labuan Police Chief, Superintendent Muhamad Farid Ahmad told that the unconscious teacher identified as Lim Li Hong was pronounced dead at the scene on 6.39am where the cause of her death was yet ascertained.

According to him, the case is being investigated under Section 41 (1) Road Transport Act 1987.
