UDA gives RM30,000 in zakat to three welfare bodies

KUALA LUMPUR – UDA Holdings Berhad had recently gave out RM30,000 in zakat (tithe) to three selected welfare bodies in Selangor.

The three recipients are the Pertubuhan Kebajikan Ar Rahmaniah, Rasa; Pusat Jagaan Rumah Kesayangan, Petaling Jaya and Syria Care, Shah Alam.

UDA Holdings group managing director, Datuk Ahmad Abu Bakar said in a statement today: “UDA has always taken noble measures to assist those in need.

“This zakat contribution will not only lessen their burden, but will also help strengthen relations with the community and foster harmony.

“This corporate social responsibility balances up our business expansion as well because UDA is just not focused on providing services of international standard but also cares for the needy. The optimal income generated is shared with the less privileged.”

The zakat contributions were handed over to the recipients by UDA Holdings Group Corporate Communications Division head, Radziah Mohamed Fadzil when she called on the three welfare bodies. -Bernama
