KUALA LUMPUR – Acestar Sdn. Bhd. has officially announced the winners of the ACA Championship Malaysia 2019 Grand Finale at the 4th SEA Connect – The Creative Conference 2019 held on June 13 at the Grand Nexus, Connexion, Bangsar South City, Kuala Lumpur.
Adobe Certified Associate Championships (ACA) is a prestigious inaugural global competition that identifies and recognizes the next generation of design professionals using Adobe® design software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.
The winners of the ACA Championship Malaysia 2019 Grand Finale in their respective category as below:
Grand Champion: Muhammad Luqman Hakim Mohd Hanapiah aged 21 from Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris won a trip to New York, USA worth RM18,000.
1st Runner-up: Yeoh Sean Hui aged 20 from Han Chiang University College of Communications bagged home HP Workstation Z2 G4S worth RM 9,800.
2nd Runner-up: Kung Sin Yee (21) from PIA College Ipoh received HP DreamColor Z24x worth RM 4,600.
Chief executive officer of Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC), Surina Shukri, director of Solutions & Strategy Consulting of Adobe Systems Inc, Siva G and group chief executive officer of Acestar Sdn Bhd, Natalie Sit had officially presented the awards to the winners.
Muhammad Luqman Hakim Mohd Hanapiah will be representing Malaysia at the World Championship Round, which will be held in New York from 28th to 31st July 2019.
The competitors, aged between 13 to 22, will be given instructions, project requirements, and assets to complete a real-world design challenge.
Top competitors are invited to represent their respective countries at the World Championship.
The competitors’ artwork submitted to the competition will help raise funds and promote civic consciousness, while getting themselves exposed to industry professionals.
Acestar Sdn. Bhd. will be sponsoring Muhammad Luqman to compete against the rest of the world in this prestigious event.
“I am extremely honored to have been selected as the Winner of the ACA Championship Malaysia 2019. Throughout my journey, I have faced various challenges, however this has only strengthened me to be more focused as a goal-oriented achiever today.
“I would like to dedicate my win to my seniors and lecturers who have inspired me during my education at UPSI, and I am confident that I will be a strong Malaysian representative for the World Championship in New York,” said Muhammad Luqman Hakim.
Meanwhile, Natalie Sit who was also the founder of Creative Cloud Community (CCC) spoke that the ACA Championship Malaysia 2019 was a perfect platform to encourage the younger generation to pick-up and fine tune their creative skills.
“I believe the youths will be able to have a better understanding of the creative industry by having the opportunity to have industry exposure,” she said.
The SEA Connect – The Creative Conference 2019 recorded an attendance of approximately 2000 delegates across South East Asia.
This year’s conference featured various exciting programs, including seminars and talks by prominent personnel and public figures, stage performances, networking session, luncheon, ACA Championship Malaysia 2019 Grand Finale and the official launching of “Creative Cloud Community ELITE”. -Bernama
